Pamela Celebrating 40th Birthday

Celebrities simply love South Florida. The cast of HBO’s The Sopranos were in town for the series finale on Sunday night and now Pamela Anderson has plans to blow out the candles on her birthday cake, in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday night.

Anderson turned down lucrative officers from nightclubs around the world which were eager to host a birthday bash for the blonde bomb shell but Anderson turned them all down and opted to celebrate with PETA at Fort Lauderdale’s vegan hot spot restaurant, Sublime.

Anderson is an honorary director of PETA, which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. She’s spearheaded many PETA campaigns and has narrated a video exposé of cruelty at KFC suppliers, posed in a bikini made of lettuce leaves for PETA’s “Let Vegetarianism Grow on You” ad campaign, and posed nude for PETA’s iconic “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign.

The restaurant Sublime is owned by PETA member Nancy Alexander, who is also founder and president of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida.

Sublime was ranked among USA Today’s top 10 in the nation for “cuisine with a clear conscience” and offers a 100 percent vegetarian menu.

The former Baywatch babe was recently in Cannes promoting her new fall comedy, “Blonde and Blonder”. She’s also been busy in Las Vegas, where she’s starring in a summer-long magic act called “The Beauty of Magic” at the new Planet Hollywood Resort.
