Pamela in new Virgin Mobile Advert

Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson is to star in a new TV ad for Virgin Mobile’s UK mobile TV service.

The ad, which first airs on October 9, features Pam watching an episode of Coronation Street on her TV phone. She is interrupted by a call from agent “Kyle”, the same actor who featured in the Kate Moss Virgin Mobile ads, phoning from a Mexican wrestling match.

Kyle expresses his disappointment at the possibility of Pam negotiating a “TV ” contract without him, and says that he has already got her a new “big screen” contract. The view switches to Kyle watching an older woman in red swimsuit parading around with a “Next round” sign on a big screen at the wrestling arena.

The advert, created by advertising agency RKCR/Y&R, finishes with the line “Watch TV as it happens with Virgin Mobile”.

Alan Gow, managing director of Virgin Mobile, said: “We felt that a ground-breaking product of this nature could only be fronted by a world-wide celebrity of the stature of Pamela Anderson. I am sure her performance will cause a stir!”
