Pamela Anderson: “I’m glad to be home”

Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson couldn’t wait to wave goodbye to Liverpool. Friends of hers say she won’t be rushing back any time soon after moaning about the poor quality of attention she received.

The ex-Playboy model, 43, stayed at the Liverpool Hilton hotel during her three-week panto stint as the genie in Aladdin. A source revealed: “Aside from the terrifying stalker ordeal, Pamela didn’t enjoy her stay in Liverpool very much. She looked miserable and homesick. Despite staying in the Presidential Suite and having people run around after her, she still seemed disappointed by everything. She was overheard moaning that she wasn’t receiving the proper VIP treatment a star like her deserved. She complained because there was no-one about to cook food for her at 3am over the Christmas period. She didn’t want to have to wait, not even 15 minutes.”

“She loudly told her PA: ‘I knew I shouldn’t have stayed here, it’s just so bad.’ Pamela said she felt unsafe as fans and autograph hunters sometimes ventured into the lobby. She constantly moaned nothing was up to standard.

“None of the hotels in the city were up to scratch,” said the insider. “She snubbed the posh Hope Street boutique hotel, where mega-stars Lady GaGa and Pink usually stay, but diva Pam said the penthouse suite was too small to suit her needs. She was desperate to stay at the Beatles-themed Hard Days Night Hotel but was told bosses at the Empire Theatre, who were paying for her stay, couldn’t quite stretch to the £900-a-night penthouse suite.”

High-maintenance Pamela was left terrified after an altercation with a fan on a train at Liverpool Lime Street station.

A theatre worker said: “Everything seems to have been a great disappointment for Miss Anderson during her stay. After requesting extra bodyguards, she spent most of her spare time sleeping. She looked quite homesick most of the time and didn’t seem to like the city much. It’s fair to say she won’t be back in a hurry.”
